I write historical fiction about the moments where faith, history, and survival collide.

My connection to that terrain is personal. My grandfather, a Baptist minister, was imprisoned and permanently injured under Soviet occupation in Latvia. My family fled to the United States through a postwar displaced persons camp in Berlin when my father was twelve. Years later I served as a U.S. Air Force officer during the Cold War, carrying forward, in my own way, a family history shaped by the century's most devastating chapters.

That inheritance is what draws me to stories set in the fault lines of the twentieth century and, in The Heirs of La Madeleine, across two thousand years of one family's hidden lineage.

I came to writing after a long and varied career, turning to the pen in 2016. I hold a BS in Finance and an MBA. I publish under my own imprint, Vieux Carré Press, from vibrant Nashville, Tennessee.

The Heirs of La Madeleine is a trilogy in progress—Paris, New Orleans, and finally, Jerusalem—following Mary Magdalene's bloodline from the Crusades to the present day.
